Amethyst Jewellery

Amethyst is the most beautiful of all crystal quartzes. It has its hardness, refraction and weight in common with the other quartzes, but the crystal structure is different – it is stratified, which causes areas of varying colour intensity to come about. Amethyst comes in many shades, ranging from violet to clear. The transparency and intensity of its colour depends on the layers it was formed in.

As you browse through the collection, you'll notice that some of the pieces in are pale green — a natural alternative form of the gemstone. When combined with amethyst's usual purple colour, it creates a unique contrast between delicate and strong hues.

In addition, amethyst is traditionally given as a birthstone for the month of February and makes an elegant winter accessory that can brighten up the season.
