Inspired by our creativity and skill, George came to us whilst he was visiting the UK on a trip from the Seychelles, to design a necklace and diamond engagement ring for his girlfriend, Gail.
The backstory
George and Gail live abroad as Conservation Biologists on a remote island in the Seychelles. This meant that George only had a short amount of time to make important decisions about his jewellery design ideas!
During his visit to us for his design appointment with Rebecca Smith, George felt supported by the whole team describing the shop as a “treasure chest of stunning jewellery”. And, using Rebecca's expertise, they discussed George’s jewellery design ideas. Together, they created the perfect ring – incorporating amethyst and diamonds to personalise the engagement ring with both George and Gail’s birthstones.
The proposal
George's proposal was a surprise to Gail and made even more special by the fact that it took place in their favourite spot on the beach – beneath palm trees. She very happily said yes and shared that she finds the ring “more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, and [it] makes me smile whenever it catches my eye”.
But, the surprise didn’t end there! George also designed a bespoke necklace made in the style of Wright’s Gardenia flower (a rare tropical plant found on the Seychelles) that holds sentimental meaning to Gail.
Having shared their thanks to us for making their engagement feel so special, we also want to extend our gratitude to Gail and George. Our team are thrilled to have been part of their exotic engagement story and wish them a long and happy life together.
