Vintage jewellery is making a come back in a big way. Often characterised by a beaded edge to the setting edge of the stone surround on a ring, pendant or earrings. It gives a feeling of the old style opulence of the 1920’s. Pruden and Smith specialise in jewellery is that is handmade specifically for you. Their latest contemporary designs combine the generous metal content and sleek lines of contemporary styles with those of the 1920’s vintage era. With a vintage style ring made from scratch, you get the advantage of a vintage wedding ring, vintage eternity ring, vintage pendant or vintage earrings, made to your exact size and specifications. If you have some old jewellery that is not being used, maybe of great sentimental value, we can redesign your old jewellery to make part or all of your new vintage jewellery.
Our vintage diamond engagement rings are made in platinum with a central diamond available in various sizes and shapes. The surrounding diamonds, either your own Mine Cuts or modern brilliants take on the style or pattern of leaves or petals, typical of this vintage style. The settings of these diamonds also have a beaded edge, characterised by a surround of small raised bead shaped marks. This design was popular in the 1920’s and through into the 1930’s.
Vintage style eternity rings are available with platinum shanks and settings. The size and quantity of diamonds can be varied to your bespoke needs. The stones have our characteristic contemporary flush setting combined with the vintage beaded edge twist or a classic pave or fishtail style shown in the rings pictured above.
Going vintage can be the perfect way to redesign old jewellery that you have. Its design could inspire us to give it a contemporary take on a vintage classic or take parts of sentimental value and reuse them in a design that is completely new and bespoke to you, taking inspiration from 1920’s or the Victorian Period.
