Discover the beauty of ruby jewellery and experience the timeless elegance that has made this gemstone so popular. Considered to be the stone of love, energy and passion, stories say that the ruby was created by fire to kindle desire in heart. Ruby jewellery is traditional for July birthdays, but it's also a popular choice for anniversaries and Valentine’s Day.
All natural rubies have imperfections in them, including colour impurities and inclusions of rutile needles known as “silk”. Gemologists use the presence of needle inclusions to distinguish natural rubies from artificial or imitation gems. Our jewellery designs feature rubies in multiple finishes, including rough cut and polished, and we have excellent sources for fine red rubies from Thailand and Burma, as well as slightly less expensive pink gems that are mined in Tanzania.
